QNC's public information brochure Setting the standards for nursing and midwifery and student information brochure So you want to be a nurse or midwife? were recently updated to ensure their content and format were accurate and relevant. Copies of the public information brochure were recently sent to both public and private hospitals across the state, with the student information brochure sent to all accredited education providers.
01/07/2009 New English language proficiency requirements implemented
From today all international nurses and midwives applying for registration in Queensland must sit a QNC approved English language test, despite the applicant's country of origin. 01/08/2009 New midwifery competency requirements implemented
From today Council now requires nurses seeking renewal or restoration of, or application for, midwifery endorsement to demonstrate their competence to practise as midwives. 06/08/2009 QNC annual awards function for grant, scholarship and Sally Goold Book Bursary recipients
