Nursing and Midwifery Practice

In working to ensure the public receives safe and competent nursing and midwifery care, the Queensland Nursing Council (QNC) is responsible for developing and implementing standards for practice.  These standards provide guidance to nurses and midwives for their professional practice and inform consumers of expected standards for that practice.

Our practice standards have been developed in partnership with members of the public, the profession and through extensive consultation with our stakeholders.
