Privacy and FOIThe Freedom of Information Act 1992 requires agencies of government such as the QNC, subject to limited exceptions, to make documents it holds available to members of the community. It also enables members of the community to ensure documents QNC hold about their personal affairs are accurate, complete, up-to-date and not misleading. For more information on how to access to documents held by QNC, or to have them amended for accuracy, click here. The Queensland Government introduced a privacy scheme in December 2000 to establish a framework for the responsible collection and handling of personal information in the Queensland public sector. Agencies such as the QNC are required to ensure the privacy principles are implemented. QNC has developed and implemented a privacy policy for this purpose.
